Samanthya Wyatt Interview

It's not often that I get the chance to interview an author and simply chat about what it's like to be a writer. I mean, my family and co-workers are sweet enough to listen to me ramble on and on about my storyline issues, but it isn't the same as chatting with someone in the industry who understands my struggles.

Today's talented author is a fellow Soulie whose path to publication is very similar to mine. Please welcome, Samanthya Wyatt, author of the One and Only series.

Perfectly Honest by Linda O'Connor

Life has been hectic this past week. Long story short -- Dad had his 4th heart attack and after a weeklong stay in the hospital, he's been sent home on hospice care. Now that things are finally settling back down again, it's time for me to relax and do something I really enjoy. Introduce you to yet another fabulous Soulmate Publishing author!

Linda O’Connor writes romantic comedies that fuse her knowledge of the medical field with my favorite thing . . . romance. Linda recently launched book one in her new Perfectly . . .  series. Perfectly Honest is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Romance Weekly: #LoveWriteChat

Have you ever read a book and wondered how in the world the author came up with the plot? Or created characters you could fall in love with? Or made you laugh out loud? Each week, the amazing authors of Romance Weekly share their trade secrets and chat about their craft.

If you found me by way of Gemma Brocato, welcome! I hope you enjoy your stay. This week's topic is courtesy of Mishka Jenkins. She asked:

What would you say your writing strengths and weaknesses are?

Thursday, February 5, 2015

Give me two thumbs up, it's Thursday! Only one more day to go until the weekend. We'll ignore the fact that after I run Writing Club, I'll have to scramble to get ready for Open House. Let's just all pretend that my day will be easy peasy, okay? Lie to me, I'll forgive you.

Thursday also means that it's time for me to introduce you to another talented author!

Don't give me that look. You know you love adding fabulous new books to your TBR pile. And so do I, which is why I've invited fellow Soul Mate Publishing author Claire Gem here to reveal the cover of her new book, Phantom Traces

And here it is, in all its glory . . .

Join the writers of Romance Weekly as we go behind the scenes of our books and tell all..... About our writing of course! Every week we'll answer questions and after you've enjoyed the blog on this site we'll direct you to another. So come back often for a thrilling ride! Tell your friends and feel free to ask us questions in the comment box.

If you found me by way of Victoria Barbour, welcome! I hope you enjoy your stay.

This week's question comes from Brenda Margriet. She asked . . .
How do you choose the setting for your book?
Does where you live inspire you?
This can apply even to books set in paranormal worlds - what do you use from "real life"?
