Book Review: A Perilous Pursuit by Diane Gilmore

I want to introduce you to a new author that I think you'll like. Diane Gilmore is a fellow SoulMate author who writes romantic suspense. Her novel, Perilous Pursuit, will be released on Amazon on March 22, 2017. I was lucky enough to get my hands on an Advance Review Copy in exchange for my honest review. So without further adieu, here's my review.

4.5 out of 5 stars

A Perilous Pursuit, by Diane Gilmore, is a well-crafted romantic suspense that kept me engaged and entertained throughout. Spanning three countries and several months, the book follows the lives of music insider, Taylor Fairchild, and musician, Craig Phillips, as they fall in love. While Craig’s rock band rises to fame under Taylor’s expert guidance, it’s his shady past working with a drug kingpin that threatens both his career and his life.

Overall, I enjoyed the way the love story played out. The author does a fabulous job of incorporating realistic details in both the narration and the dialogue, allowing the reader to visualize each unique setting as the book progressed. The characters were well written and had some depth to them. It was clear right from the start, that Craig’s past would threaten their relationship in some way. It was a matter of when, not if. Equally apparent to the reader was the notion that Taylor was an independent woman, which makes her actions at the end more plausible.

I’d definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves romantic suspense.
